Victory at last
Paula Seling and Ovi Cernauteanu are to participate with the song "Playing with Fire" produced by Simen Eriksud, the star of the 2009 Scandinavian charts.
Ovi, who lives in Bryne in Rogaland, established himself in Norway 10 years ago and has struck it lucky this year.
For 31 year-old Paula Seling, it was victory at last, getting maximum points from both the jury and the televote in what was her fifth time in the contest.
"I can say that this is the most important thing that has ever happened to me”, said Paula right after the end of the final.
“Playing with Fire” is a rhythmic piece, full of vitality, almost guaranteed to lift any fan out of his/her chair.
The girl with the piano
Paula Seling is one of the most popular artists in Romania. She began studying the piano at six.
It was pretty hard for such a small girl to stay inside and study while other children were playing in the courtyard outside the block where she lived.
But her efforts have been worth it. Seling soon became a soloist, and appeared at the annual Golden Stag Festival held in Braşov, Romania, for the first time in 1996.
Albums, projects, and collaborations with big names such as Anita Doth, and Al Bano, have ranked her amongst the world’s best singers, and Seling has charmed the audiences with her song, won emotions, and made the public rock.
Romantic, sensitive, strong and ambitious, Paula has gained her place in the hearts of the people.
