Swedish police are currently looking for armed robbers who entered a bank in Töcksfors close to the Norwegian border. Officers believe the suspects fled in that direction.
The first car used to escape has been burnt out and was found to the south of Töcksfors. Swedeish police are now looking for a second vehicle believed to be a blue Volvo V70, writes Nya Wermlands-Tidningen.
The suspects, who officers say are armed with AK4 automatic rifles, were seen wearing masks and carrying guns on Tuesday morning outside Westra Värmlands Savings Bank in Töcksfors. Witness Morgan Sahlin told NRK that two men went into the bank while the third acted as a guard outside.
“The guard had automatic weapons, and one of those who entered the bank had a gun. I'm not sure if the last one had any weapons. They came out of the bank with two bags and drove in the direction of Norway,” he said.
Norwegian police have warned the public via Twitter they should not do anything if they see the car officers are looking for, but contact the police.
