In June 2010, Mullah Krekar made threats against several Norwegian politicians including Erna Solberg.
Muslim extremist Krekar was sentenced to five years in prison earlier this year but appealed the decision. He was also remanded in custody. This was extended with another eight weeks.
The prosecution had wanted Krekar to receive a sentence of 18 months, he was also acquitted of attacking a photographer from TV2.
Krekar appealed today’s sentence on the spot, according to his defence counsel Brynjar Meling.
Wednesday’s one-year term comes in addition to March’s five-year sentence.
