The increase in house sales has also been linked to the Norwegian weather during the summers, Agnar D. Carlsen told Aftenposten.

“After last summer we noticed that the weather played a role in that Norwegians would buy abroad, but it has just exploded this year.”

Mr Carlsen says that the process takes between two and three years for most people. He recommends that potential buyers spend time getting to know the area they are interested in before purchasing property.
