A fire broke out in a barn in Gol in Hallingdal early this morning, killing 28 live cattle.
By the time firemen arrived on the scene the barn had been completely destroyed, with no hope of saving any of the animals.
“I heard an animal when I first arrived, but it was over one minute later,” head of the region’s fire brigade, Dag Boten, tells NRK.
Police say they will have to wait until tomorrow before starting their investigations as the ruins are still too hot.
