At least five people were killed and over 30 wounded in a suicide car bomb attack in the vicinity of Norway’s embassy in Kabul at 07:45 local time.
“As far as we know the explosion hasn’t caused any injuries amongst Norwegians or other staff at the embassy,” Haakon Svane, on duty press representative at the Foreign Office tells NTB.
Damage to the building is believed to be extensive, but there are no plans at present to evacuate embassy personnel still inside.
