Schlumberger wins Aker BP contract. The four-year framework agreement covers 4D seismic data gathering, with an option for 2+2 years. It includes WesternGeco marine acquisition of 4D seismic data over the Aker BP-operated fields Alvheim, Bøyla, Skarv/Snadd and Ula in 2017. According to Aker BP, this part of the contract has an independent market value of some USD 30m (some NOK 256.87m / EUR 27.52m /GBP 23.25m at today’s ROE).

It includes WesternGeco marine acquisition of 4D seismic data over the Aker BP-operated fields Alvheim, Bøyla, Skarv/Snadd and Ula in 2017.

According to Aker BP, this part of the contract has an independent market value of some USD 30m (some NOK 256.87m / EUR 27.52m /GBP 23.25m at today’s ROE).

2017’s seismic acquisition operations, which use Schlumberger’s IsoMetrix* marine isometric seismic technology, are due to start in May.

They will be carried out by the WG Amundsen seismic vessel.
