Sunday's Fare thee well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead performance at Soldier Field in Chicago features four members of the Grateful Dead – Mickey Hart (drums), Bill Kreutzmann (drums), Phil Lesh (bass guitar), and Bob Weir (vocals/guitar).

Joining them will be guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio (Phish, and the Trey Anastasio band) Jeff Chimenti, keyboards (Ratdog, The Dead, and Furthur), and singer/keyboardist Bruce Hornsby – a winner of several Grammy Awards.

This two-set concert will be transmitted via satellite to 400 cinemas in Europe, including Nordisk Oslo Kino and Trondheim Kino.

Recorded live at the US stadium on Sunday 5th July, the band’s fans – known as ‘Deadheads’ – will be shown this exclusive footage on 6th July, organisers say.

The Monday also marks almost 20 years to the day since the Grateful Dead played their final concert at Soldier Field in 1995.

“I have a feeling this will come out just right. Can’t wait to find out…HERE WE GO!” Mickey Hart said about the concerts between 3rd and 5th July.

Both performances at Nordisk Kino Oslo’s Ringen 2 in Sannergata 6D and Trondheim Kino’s Prinsen 3 in Prinsens gate 2B start at 19:30 local time, Monday.
