US heavy metal band Metallica kicks of their ‘WorldWired’ Tour starting in Amsterdam on 4th September.

“We are very excited to announce that we will be joining Metallica in Europe as part of their WorldWired tour. It's an incredible honour to be sharing the stage with the masters. We can't wait!” said Kverlertak in a statement.

The Norwegian band that plays rock music was formed in Stavanger during 2007.

They have previously toured with ensembles such as Slayer and Anthrax.

Their third album, Nattesferd, released in 2016, was awarded a Grammy for its mix of Norwegian metal, classic rock and lyrics.

Metallica have sold 110 million records and won 8 Grammys since 1981.

The release of “Hardwired…two Self-Destruct” in November last year went straight to number one in 57 countries, including Norway.

Both bands’ concert in Norway will take place at Oslo’s Telenor Arena on 2nd May 2018.

Concert tickets for Legacy Met Club members will be available from 21st March this year, with others on sale from 24th March.
