The Northern Lights are famous around the world, but did you know that you can also do things like snowkiting too? In this first of several articles, here is an activity involving boats in the really chilly part where Norway meets Russia.

The king crab safari in northern Norway’s Finnmark County involves jumping into the Barents Sea from a boat dressed in warm clothes and a drysuit.

While visitors may be able to dive and catch some king crab themselves (check), the safari involves floating, waiting, and eating hot, cooked king crab afterwards.

There are also options for those who would rather observe things from the boat. Bringing warm clothes and footwear is strongly advised.
