Norway winter holidays with a difference: Snowkiting / Entertainment / The Foreigner

Norway winter holidays with a difference: Snowkiting. Norway has several opportunities and places to go for kiteboarding in the winter. Major areas are Varanger (northern Norway) and Hardangervidda (a mountain plateau in central-southern Norway covering Buskerud, Hordaland, and Telemark Counties). Other possibilities are to be found in Geilo (a valley and district of Hallingdal, Buskerud County – the traditional Norwegian folk dance ‘Halling’ derives its name from the valley), and Tyin/Filefjell in southern Norway.

Tyin is a lake in the south-western part of the Jotunheimen mountain range. Filefjell is a mountainous area between Lærdal and Valdres.
