According to the carrier, the expansion and optimisation will enable KLM to serve 71 European destinations. The number was 67 for summer 2013.

Passengers from/to Norway will be able to travel on 31 flights concerning seven airports regarding the Air France KLM’s Paris Charles De Gaulle and Amsterdam Schipol hubs.

“In addition, customers will benefit from shorter connecting flights via hubs and the possibility of combining these with the other Air France and KLM flights. Our 230 destinations worldwide are readily available to customers flying from Norway,” says Daniel Eggenberger, head of Air France KLM in Norway.

Regarding the two new daily departures direct from Stavanger to Paris with Air France operated by HOP, Mr Eggenberger adds “we’ll be offering seven daily flights between Stavanger and our two hubs from 31st March 2014.”

Otherwise, new daily routes being added from 26th May this year include Spain’s Bilbao and Croatia capital Zagreb.

Italy gets a boost with twice-daily services to Turin from the same date, with Florence being a new summer schedule addition. KLM will also start winter services to the famous Palazzo Vecchio city.

The airline is also increasing daily departures to a several destinations, such as three daily flights to Moscow in Russia, and two daily flights to Athens, Greece.

Moreover, there will  be five daily flights to Norway’s Bergen.

KLM’s scheduled service already includes Santiago de Chile which launched in winter, and these will continue throughout summer. Flights to Ecuador are to become daily departures.

KLM royal Dutch Airlines was founded in 1919, making this the world’s oldest airline which still operates under its original name.

Air France and KLM merged to form AIR FRANCE KLM in 2004.
