Boeing Dreamliner a hit with Norwegian. Airline Norwegian has announced it has chosen Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner for its long-distance routes. In a deal signed for two of a possible eight aircraft with US-based International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), the carrier alleges the choice of aircraft will mean benefits both to the environment and its passengers. “[The agreement] is an important milestone for us. The Dreamliner is a plane for the future, with high passenger comfort and low operating costs. Low fuel consumption also means this type of aircraft is without doubt the most environmentally-friendly we could have chosen,” says Managing Director Bjørn Kjos in a press release.
