Two products from Tine have been withdrawn from food shops in 11 council districts after being contaminated with E. coli.

The cartons of Lettrømme (3 dl) and Yoghurt Alltid Naturell (5 dl) -- both marked with production number M-123 26.10 -- became infected as a result of a flaw in production, according to a press release.

Elisabeth Morthen -- TINE’s communications director -- recommends consumers to dispose of them.

Shops have been advised to remove the infected consignment from their shelves purely as a precautionary measure, the company writes.

The recall applies to the Oslo, Asker, Bærum, Lørenskog, Nittedal, Rælingen, Sørum, Ski, Skedsmo, Gran, and Lunner districts.
