The first attack took place in a central Oslo apartment in Fredensborgveien near Grubbegata.

The severely injured man underwent surgery at Ullevål University Hospital. His condition is stable, according to TV2.

“We found a dead person in the apartment and one seriously on the pavement outside when we arrived at the scene,” Officer Christopher Bang told NRK.

Police have apprehended two suspects. They are looking for at least three other persons seen fleeing afterwards.

“There were several witnesses to the incident, and some have described three people in hooded sweater that ran in the opposite direction of the two who are now arrested. We searching for these along the escape route,” he said to VG.

Tuesday’s incident was first believed to be a break-in. Police, who were contacted at 01:20, have secured evidence and are continuing their search and investigations.

The second fatality is a woman in her 40s, killed Monday night. She was found stabbed in a Krokstadelva apartment a few kilometres west of Drammen in Nedre Eiker municipality, Buskerud County.

Police have arrested and indicted her legal partner, a man in his late 30s. An acquaintance of the couple informed police at around 11:30pm.

“We have taken statements from people who know the couple, but there were no witnesses to the actual event,” Officer Marianne Mørk of Søndre Buskerud district police informed VG.

Paper Drammens Tidende reports the couple has a child. It was not at home at the time the incident occurred.
