Foreigners influence Progress politician exit. A local Troms County FrP politician claims he left a sports pub because there were too many foreigners present. “The entire asylum reception centre occupies Metzo in Harstad when there’s a football match on”, 18-year-old Kristian Eilertsen tweeted about his Champions League Arsenal-Bayern Munich experience. “It’s no fun feeling as though one is an immigrant in one’s own country”, he added, claiming later his view had nothing to do with skin colour. “It would have been a problem if there’d been a majority of white eastern Europeans or Englishmen, for example.”

Regional paper Nordlys also reported that eighth-place Parliamentary listed Mr Eilertsen thought such a concentrated group of immigrants in itself hinders integration. This proves that Norway has to slow immigration, he declared as a Q.E.D.

Although the northern Norway Arsenal-supporting politician did subsequently admit he had scored a bit of an own goal, Mr Eilertsen maintained that “the reality doesn’t change. Nine out of ten people at Metzo were not of Norwegian origin, and we felt uncomfortable.”

Bayern Munich won 3-1.
