The Foreigner Health boss quits in forgery scandal. The head of administration for the Norwegian Registration Authority for Health Personnel (SAFH) has resigned from her job, after it was discovered she’d faked her academic qualifications and manipulated her CV. 60-year-old Liv Løberg, one of FrP’s (Progress Party) representatives for Akershus county, falsified certificates from the London School of Economics, Queen Mary College at London University, as well as the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), according to her previously unedited CV on FrP’s Internet site. Her qualifications have since been removed. “My client admits her CV is incorrect, as well as having forged her study certificates,” Tom A. Næss, Løberg’s lawyer told VG yesterday.

SAFH approves authorisation to doctors, dentists, and nurses, and has a zero-tolerance policy for false documents.

Bjørn Guldvog, assistant health director at the Directorate of Health (Helsedirektoratet), was appalled when he heard the news, and thinks the matter represents a serious breach of trust.

“I was furious, stunned, and shocked,” he says.

Løberg will now face charges.
