The Foreigner Marit Bjørgen conquers Davos sprint. Norway’s skiing star Marit Bjørgen has done it again after winning the Women’s 10 km Sprint in Davos. Ms Bjørgen was the strongest competitor and finished the race after 3:13 minutes, two seconds ahead of Italy’s Arianna Follis. Third place went to Kikkan Randall from the USA. "Again a victory that is just amazing. I was not so sure that I could be so strong today but I did my best and won the race. I am not sure who can beat me in the future but I am sure that there will be the one or other athlete that can do it,” the Norwegian champion told fiscrosscountry.com after the race.

Norway’s skiing star Marit Bjørgen has done it again after winning the Women’s 10 km Sprint in Davos.



Ms Bjørgen was the strongest competitor and finished the race after 3:13 minutes, two seconds ahead of Italy’s Arianna Follis. Third place went to Kikkan Randall from the USA.

"Again a victory that is just amazing. I was not so sure that I could be so strong today but I did my best and won the race. I am not sure who can beat me in the future but I am sure that there will be the one or other athlete that can do it,” the Norwegian champion told fiscrosscountry.com after the race.

“It was a great race, I like the track here and I am happy to be on the podium again. Marit was clearly the strongest,” conceded silver medalist Arianna Follis.

After today’s win triple Olympic champion Ms Bjørgen increased her lead in the World Cup overall, with a current total of 640 points.

In the Men’s 15 km Sprint, Norway’s Ola Vigen Hattestad only managed eighth place. Sweden’s Emil Jönsson came first after 2:56.0 minutes, followed by Russia’s Alexei Petukhov, and Swiss Dario Cologna.
