According to Stavanger Aftenblad, great-grandchild number 50 was born 12 days ago. What with an additional six children of her own and 25 grandchildren, Mery certainly has her hands full.

In fact there are so many, that if she wanted to see all of them in addition to spouses, live-in partners and boy/girlfriends, renting a local hall would be the only option.

She tells the paper that there are so many that she can neither remember each of the great-grandchildren’s names, nor can she afford to buy each of them a present after they have been baptised.

A total of 81 descendants should certainly ensure that there are no turkey leftovers at Christmas.
