MPs would like to see Royal Family go. One in four would prefer Republic. Approximately 40 percent of MPs asked by NRK say they are in favour of abolishing the Monarchy. Bård Vegar Solhjell, the Socialist Left Party’s (SV) Minister of Education and Research, tells NTB that he feels support for his view is growing.

Approximately 40 percent of MPs asked by NRK say they are in favour of abolishing the Monarchy.

Bård Vegar Solhjell, the Socialist Left Party’s (SV) Minister of Education and Research, tells NTB that he feels support for his view is growing.

A third of MPs also answered that they are in favour of scrapping the Royal House within the next 20 years.
