Norway needs new vaccine deal. NEWS IN BRIEF: Norway has no agreement in place for vaccine deliveries following the swine flu pandemic. The lack of any deal means no efficient way of delivering vaccines during a pandemic. Nevertheless, Director of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health Bjørn Iversen says to P4 that negotiations on a new contract are underway, hoping this will be in effect next year.

NEWS IN BRIEF: Norway has no agreement in place for vaccine deliveries following the swine flu pandemic.

The lack of any deal means no efficient way of delivering vaccines during a pandemic.

Nevertheless, Director of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health Bjørn Iversen says to P4 that negotiations on a new contract are underway, hoping this will be in effect next year.

“We are looking at two types of deal. One would be in cooperation with the EU, the other where we are responsible for them ourselves.”
