Norway women’s skiers in new ‘ski porn’ episode. A Norwegian hard porn site has bowed to legal pressure after publishing pictures of female cross country ski athletes Marit Bjørgen, Therese Johaug, and Kristin Størmer Steira. The regular sports pictures used, apparently uploaded by site members, were taken when the athletes were changing in the finish area, as well as showing them lying on the ground recuperating after crossing race finish lines, magazine ‘Her og Nå’ reports, Tuesday. Norway’s Ski Federation subsequently contacted the website demanding the relevant people immediately delete the thread. According to 'Se og Hør', it had got 140,000 clicks before the weekend and many users comments.

Espen Graff, the Ski Federation’s head of communications officer, tells The Foreigner the pictures have now been taken down.

“As soon as the matter was brought to our notice, we heeded the advice of our lawyers and contacted the concerned website. They acted immediately, taking those pictures off,” he says. “They have apologised."

Not wishing to comment on how this incident occurred, Mr Graff adds, “what I want the athletes to know the Ski Federation will not treat any matter of such gravity lightly."

"We care for our skiers and will protect them in every capacity,” he declares, saying he has spoken to the skiers’ coaches to inform them the necessary action has been taken."

“Though they [the website’s people] can’t guarantee that this type of incident will never happen again [on other sites], I am pleased to see that they are taking this case very seriously.”

“We can only hope that no such occurrence repeats itself, but will do everything to protect the integrity of the members of the Ski Federation of Norway,” concludes Mr Graff.

Last year, a German TV channel caused controversy after its crew filmed Marit Bjørgen, Therese Johaug and Heidi Weng whilst they were donning dry clothes following their victory in FIS’ Tour de Ski victory in Oberstdorf, Bavaria.
