Despite the frost on Rogland’s car windscreens this morning, the Meteorological Institute has forecasted inclement weather for the weekend.

“Saturday will see 12 degrees and rain, with strong north-westerly winds expected to reach gale force eight,” a weatherman at the institute tells The Foreigner.

Although winds are forecasted to drop slightly on Sunday, with temperatures falling to approximately 7oC, the bad news is that it will pour down.

“Monday afternoon will see the best of the weather with the wind blowing from the south-west, but it will be raining for the rest of the week. Temperatures will be variable,” he says.

Motorists are advised to put on winter tyres if they are planning to drive over 600-800 metres.
