The Foreigner Police hunt for Oslo shooting witness. Oslo police are asking for help from a person they believe captured the murder of a 35-year-old games developer on film early on Saturday morning. In what police describe as “an unusually brutal murder”, the victim was shot in the head once at point blank range from a passing car, after he and two colleagues supposedly approached two pirate taxis outside the “Store Stå” pub in Bislett. The man later died in Ullevål hospital. “I can confirm we are looking for a killer between 20 and 30 with an Asian complexion and black, combed back, medium length hair,” Police Superintendent Grete Metlid said at yesterday’s press conference.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the shooting so far, but several witnesses have given statements about one person they saw filming or photographing the incident at the time. Police are particularly anxious to be contacted by this individual.

“We have also secured other interesting video footage and have collected a great deal more from security cameras in the area,” says Ms Metlid.

Help is also being asked from members of the public regarding both cars seen speeding away from the shooting on Pilestredet towards Majorstuen.

“One was burgundy-coloured, possibly an older Toyota or Hyundai. The other could perhaps have been a lightly-coloured sedan, but we cannot confirm this.

There is not believed to be a connection between the shooting and the deceased’s business.
