The internet penetration rate in Norway is at 95 per cent. Sweden and Denmark have 94.8 and 94.6 per cent, respectively. Respective 2014 rates for Iceland and Finland are 96.5 per cent and 91.5 per cent.

Norway comes in 5th position regarding world countries’ per head page views – 98 for 2014, according to an overview sex site pornhub.com has compiled.

Other Nordic Countries Iceland, Sweden and Denmark are ranked 8th, 9th and 10th, respectively. Finland is not listed here.

The US, Canada, the UK, and Ireland occupy the top-four places, with respective per capita page views of 123, 119, 115, and 112, shows Pornhub’s ‘Year in Review 2014’ insights.

Tastes

Pornhub’s ‘Year in Review’ for 2014 also reveals that Swedes’ most popular porn-watching month was November. February, the month with Valentine’s Day in it, is the least popular.

Sundays saw the most porn being watched, Saturdays the least. Sweden was the only Nordic Country that appeared on this scale.

Data for top-scoring America reveals that December is the most popular month in which to watch porn, March is the least. Mondays and Fridays were the most and least popular days, respectively.

Romanians preferred porn-watching in December and generally on Thursdays. March was the least popular month, and Wednesday the least popular day.

Length and gender

On Pornhub’s ‘time spent per visit’ scale (top-20 countries), Swedes are shown to stay for 8 minutes and 53 seconds. Again, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland are not listed in this category.

The Philippines come top with 12 minutes and 40 seconds per visit, Egypt bottom with 6 minutes and 48 seconds. The world average is 9 minutes and 16 seconds.

The data differs when it comes to worldwide porn-watching gender proportions, with the percentages more alike in Brazil than the other countries listed. 71 per cent of males watch porn, 29 per cent of females.

In the middle come the Netherlands, Italy, and Sweden. 80 per cent of males, and 20 per cent of females watch porn. These countries are listed as 12, 13, and 14.

20th and 21st places (biggest difference) are occupied by Japan and Germany, where porn-watching males account for 87 per cent, females 13 per cent.

Internet traffic top-20

Latest available population statistics show that Sweden’s is about 9.74 million (2014 figures). Denmark has 5.62 million inhabitants (2014), Finland 5.47 million (2014), Norway 5.15 million (2014), and Iceland 315,556 (2011).

Sweden was the only Nordic Country featured in this internet traffic section. This nation occupies 16th position, having climbed one place in relation to the previous year.

The US, with its some 320.16 million people comes 1st. Romania is ranked in 20th place – up two on 2013 – having almost 21.73 million people living in the country (2014).

How worldwide surfers accessed porn sites was divided as follows: phone (45 per cent), desktop (44 per cent), and tablet (11 per cent).
