Queen expresses sorrow over unsolved Martine Magnussen murder. Her Royal Majesty Queen Elisabeth II has sent a letter of condolence to the family of murdered Norwegian student Martine Vik Magnussen. She writes she’s familiar with the case, and regrets the grief it has caused them, as well as their frustration that the perpetrator is still at large, writes VG. 23-year-old Vik’s half-naked body was found dumped in a basement outside a block of luxury flats in Central London on 14 March 2008, two days after she was last seen getting into a cab with Farooq Abdulhak, the 21-year-old son of a Yemeni billionaire.

Abdulhak fled back home and is suspected of strangling Magnussen. He still hasn’t been arrested as Britain has no extradition treaty with Yemen.
