Rogaland basks in winter sun. Weatherman predicts sunshine and sunglasses. Yesterday’s nice weather was just the start of what looks like to be a lovely week in the west around Stavanger. “There’ll be a light, north-easterly breeze from tomorrow, with wind speeds reaching a maximum of approximately 12 metres per second early in the day around coastal areas. Wind conditions will be calm from Thursday,” Øyvind Johnsen at the Meteorological Institute in Oslo tells The Foreigner.

Yesterday’s nice weather was just the start of what looks like to be a lovely week in the west around Stavanger.

Temperature-wise it won’t be Siberia in your slippers at night, but you’ll notice a difference from under the duvet. Although Johnsen forecasts -3 from Wednesday, it could sink to as low as -6 this evening.

But there’ll be long periods of sunshine.

“During the day temperatures in Stavanger will be between -1 and -2C, with a maximum of +2 from Thursday,” he says.
