Police hunt for unknown gunman.

Armed police were called out to an incident early this morning after reports of a shots having been fired at the nightspot “Caduvil” in the centre of Sandnes.

Conflicting statements from witnesses make it unclear whether or not the weapon – allegedly a “soft gun” – had actually been discharged, and the unknown gunman had left by the time police reached the scene.

It is reported that the man of no description had punched security guards after having been involved in an argument with them.

Police are currently conducting forensic examinations at the scene of the crime, and are asking members of the public for assistance either via email at www.politi.no or phone on 51 89 90 00.

There were no reports of casualties and nobody has been arrested so far.
