Passengers for six airports in northern Norway can expect normal services during Monday after union the Aviation Officials Association (LFF) called off their strike, Sunday.

The ground staff conflict with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise Aviation (NHO Luftfart) initially hit Mehamn and Honningsvåg airports. Walkouts spread to Brønnøysund, Svolvær, Vardø, and Vadsø the following month.

LFF officials say they are “extremely satisfied” a solution has been found to the dispute. NHO Luftfart, “strongly regrets the adverse effects the strike has caused the local communities”.

Regional/international carrier Widerøe, who also experienced industrial action earlier this month, says they expect services to return to normal during Monday.

The morning’s schedule will follow what it has been during the strike unless otherwise notified. Passengers are advised to check the airline’s Internet pages for updates.
