The Foreigner Swedish police probe Norwegian near hanging. Police are investigating the attempted murder of an 11-year-old Norwegian boy in western Sweden, after he was found hanging from a tree by a rope. The victim was playing at the HaganĂ€set camping ground in Charlottenberg at approximately 9pm on Good Friday, when what is believed to be up to several attackers ambushed him from behind. “[My son’s] face was covered by the assailant so he couldn’t see anything. At the same time, he was lifted up and the rope was strung around his throat. It was also tightened with extra stick that was placed behind his neck,” his father tells VG.

Swedish police probe Norwegian near hanging

Police are investigating the attempted murder of an 11-year-old Norwegian boy in western Sweden, after he was found hanging from a tree by a rope.



The victim was playing at the HaganÀset camping ground in Charlottenberg at approximately 9pm on Good Friday, when what is believed to be up to several attackers ambushed him from behind.

“[My son’s] face was covered by the assailant so he couldn’t see anything. At the same time, he was lifted up and the rope was strung around his throat. It was also tightened with extra stick that was placed behind his neck,” his father tells VG.

The boy survived by standing on tiptoe for 10 minutes before being found by a passerby, despite not being able to shout for help. He also experienced breathing difficulties.

According to the victim’s own, limited description, his attacker was wearing a white jacket and white sweater.

Chief investigator Christer Stöllman tells Aftenposten “We are very interested to hear from members of the public who may have witnessed something, or heard of anything.”

Medical staff at Arvika hospital examined the boy, who they say did not suffer any physical damage. apart from evidence of bruising around the throat. The victim and his family have now travelled back to Konsgvinger
