Taxi-driver complains over un-fare treatment. A driver had his electronic toll-road tag stolen from inside his taxi six months ago whilst it was in for repair, and the toll company’s meter is still running. According to the driver he reported the theft to the North Jæren Toll Company, but the bills still kept arriving. “The taxi has not been in a driveable condition for a year,” Tor Johan Pollestad told Jærbladet.

Off the road

According to the driver he reported the theft to the North Jæren Toll Company, but the bills still kept arriving.

“The taxi has not been in a driveable condition for a year,” Tor Johan Pollestad told Jærbladet.

“It’s quite frustrating. I’ve contacted the company several times by phone, email and fax. Each time I rang, I spoke to a different person in customer care who said that they hadn’t heard of the matter. The last time I rang them, they said they would stop the bills, but I still received a new one a month later”, he said.

Reported stolen

Pollestad also contacted the police, but it had no effect on the bills from the company, even after the report had been sent to them.

Rang the Managing Director

Jærbladet rang Halvor Aarrestad and spoke to him about it. He agreed to look into the matter, even though it was news to him.

Look at the meter next time you get in a taxi.
