Two indicted for campsite killing

Police have charged two men in connection with murdering a woman in her fifties following a fire at Tvedestrand camping grounds in Aust-Agder, Sunday.

Glenn Lennart Nilson of Tvedestrand police tells Agderposten “another occupant living in the house told us the fire alarm had been set off by some baguettes warming in the oven. We discovered her body after responding.”

Crime scene technicians say their investigations confirmed there was no doubt the woman was murdered.

Footage taken from security cameras at the scene is believed to be police’s most important piece of evidence tying the suspects to the crime.

Police arrested and charged both men not long after finding the dead woman’s body. They will not comment on how the two are connected, but one of the men, believed to be the murderer, is probably her foster son.

“One has been charged with murder, the other for aiding and abetting manslaughter,” Agder District Police’s Inspector Nils Anders Grønås informs NRK.
