1. An end to the rhetoric?
COMMENTARY: Oslo District Court judge Wenche Arntzen prevented Anders Behring Breivik making an extended address in today’s closing moments of trial lasting 10 weeks and a day.
2. ‘I met Anders Behring Breivik in a bar’
INTERVIEW: ‘He wasn't a memorable person. He was a completely ordinary guy. He wasn't frightening. When he said, 'I'll kill you,' I didn't believe him. He was utterly normal. It's only through his crime that he's become a mythic person, someone who's so frightening that psychiatrists daren't be with him on their own.’
3. A rational being and the insanity
COMMENTARY: Something very strange is happening at Oslo District Court: the prosecution seems intent on arguing that Anders Behring Breivik was insane when he planned and executed the most successful spree killing by a single gunman outside of wartime.
4. A question of (in)sanity
EXTENDED FEATURE: There have been many examples where terrorists have killed people in an act of political ideology. Anders Behring Breivik pumped himself full of stimulants to help him carry out his attacks, but spent years planning them. Was, or is he sane or insane; could he possibly be both?
