Guess the Relative (working title) will follow the story of British families as they discover long lost relatives from around the world, who they never knew existed.

“It will be interesting to see if there will be an instant family connection,” says Cher Adamson, Assistant Producer, who is very excited about the new programme.

Successful applicants will have their family history researched by a team of world leading genealogy experts, in an attempt to trace their living British relatives. And those lucky enough to take part will receive an expenses paid trip to the UK and the unique opportunity to live with a British family and experience the best of British Culture.

Dragonfly Television will be featuring people from different parts of the world, but Norway’s history, its connection to Britain and its unique lifestyle is something the programme makers are very excited to include.

“We are looking for great people who have interesting or unusual jobs, hobbies and backgrounds. And, we’re also really interested in speaking to from indigenous groups,” says Cher.

“It’s sort of your dream dinner party scenario. We want to bring together long lost family members whilst teaching British families about different ways of life from all over the world,” she continues.

“Genealogical programmes have always been very popular in the UK, but our concept is an attempt to bring the subject to a new audience in a fun and entertaining way. We’d love to feature some interesting Norwegians as a part of it”, Cher concludes.
