Snow joke

The chaos that snow caused on Tuesday of this week was by no means the worst that Norway has to offer. According to forecast, the bad weather will be a troublesome mixture of thick snow, drifts and a lot of wind.

“I would stay indoors on Saturday and you would be best not to try and drive over the mountains then. The worst will be in the middle of the day” meteorologist Oddvar Jensen told yr.no.

Soggy Sunday

Yr.no goes on to write that western coastal regions can expect up to 40mm of rain, with 20-30cm falling in higher areas of up to approximately 300 metres.

Although they report that it could improve on Sunday, Oddvar Jensen is not so sure.

“The wind-direction will be towards the northwest. There could still be snow and wind in higher mountain-areas, but it will be worst in the West of the country.

That will certainly put a damper on things.
