Ellie Goulding returns to Hove / News / The Foreigner

Ellie Goulding returns to Hove. The British artist will be performing at southern Norway’s annual festival on Tromøya four years after her last appearance there. “We’ve followed Ellie Goulding since we booked her in 2010 and are impressed with developments, to put it mildly,” the event’s Toffen Gunnufsen told NRK, Tuesday. “[She’s gone] from being a great talent to becoming a superstar. Not everyone can say the same.” Amongst the 27-year-old’s songs are “Goodness Gracious”, “Burn”(both 2013, “Halcyon Days” album), and “Anything Could Happen” (2012, “Halcyon” album).

“We’ve followed Ellie Goulding since we booked her in 2010 and are impressed with developments, to put it mildly,” the event’s Toffen Gunnufsen told NRK, Tuesday. “[She’s gone] from being a great talent to becoming a superstar. Not everyone can say the same.”

Amongst the 27-year-old’s songs are “Goodness Gracious”, “Burn”(both 2013, “Halcyon Days” album), and “Anything Could Happen” (2012, “Halcyon” album).

Goulding was in Norway’s capital last weekend performing at Oslo Spektrum as part of her current 2014 world tour.

Norwegian broadcaster NRK gave the British artist 4 out of 6, headlining their review with “everything can happen”.

The UK’s Daily Mail was more forthcoming in their choice of language.

Ellie Goulding parades her seemingly endless pins.”

National Norway tabloid Dagbladet’s headline looked to be inspired by British peer The Sun, with “energetic Ellie-gant”.

Singer/songwriter Goulding comes from Lyonshall Herefordshire County, West Midlands.

She studied drama at Kent University after graduating from Hereford Sixth Form College.

Signing to Polydor Records through her debut single ‘Under the Sheets’ in 2009, released on independent label Neon Gold Records, she was initially introduced to the British public when she was shortlisted for the BBC's 'Sound of 2010' poll.
