The Foreigner Hotel, restaurant union threatens increased industrial action. Some 3,500 Fellesforbundet union members strike after no local wage negotiation deal with the Norwegian Hospitality Association. More could be called out, Saturday. The first wave started on Sunday morning. It affected hotels, cafeterias, and restaurants across Buskerud, Hordaland, Nordland, Oslo, Sør-Trøndelag, and Vestfold Counties. Hotels affected in Bergen include the Clarion Admiral, the Comfort Holberg, and six Scandic ones.

Some 3,500 Fellesforbundet union members strike after no local wage negotiation deal with the Norwegian Hospitality Association. More could be called out, Saturday.



The first wave started on Sunday morning. It affected hotels, cafeterias, and restaurants across Buskerud, Hordaland, Nordland, Oslo, Sør-Trøndelag, and Vestfold Counties.

Hotels affected in Bergen include the Clarion Admiral, the Comfort Holberg, and six Scandic ones.

Among the Oslo hotels hit by the strike are the Bristol, the Clarion Royal Christiania, the Radisson Blu Scandinavia, the Thon Rosenkrantz, and nine Scandics.

Fellesforbundet has now decided to escalate industrial action, calling out a further 2,447 members. This will take effect on Saturday this week from 8 am.

Establishments in Troms/Finnmark, Rogaland, Nord-Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, and Akershus Counties will be affected.

Hotels on the list in Stavanger include the Victoria, Skagen Brygge, three Scandics, Radisson Blu Royal, Blu Atlantic, and Park Inn, as well as the Clarion Stavanger.
