The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) believes it has found the infection source responsible for the latest national outbreak of the Norovirus.

Consumers have reported symptoms after having eaten the Lollo Bionda lettuce, imported from France via Denmark.

The authority recommends that consumers, cafés and restaurants throw away any remaining packages bought up until 25 January marked with the following:

·         Grønn Lollo or Lollo Grønn from Elstøen gartneri 21.10.01

·         Grønn Lollo from Coop marked with “pakket av Hanasand”  12.01-16.01.10

·         Grønn Lollo from Einar Hansand with “pakket av Hanasand” 12.01-16.01.10

·         Lollo Grønn from ICA with delivery number NO69875, 12.01-16.01.10 that have been distributed in Sørlandet and Vestlandet.

All stocks have been removed from sale.
