Norway Nobel Peace Prize Concert in pictures. The 20th Nobel Peace Prize Concert took place in Oslo Spektrum with a star-studded line-up, as usual, Wednesday. Amongst those performing were British singer Morrissey and Swedish rapper Timbuktu. Norwegian Nobel Committee director Geir Lundestad said “the purpose of the concert is to spread a message about peace and to get information out to groups which are not usually reached.”

The 20th Nobel Peace Prize Concert took place in Oslo Spektrum with a star-studded line-up, as usual, Wednesday.

Amongst those performing were British singer Morrissey and Swedish rapper Timbuktu.

Norwegian Nobel Committee director Geir Lundestad said “the purpose of the concert is to spread a message about peace and to get information out to groups which are not usually reached.”

The traditional annual December 11th concert is held to honour the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Norway's royal family is usually represented, this year by HRH Crown Prince Haakon.

Wednesday’s concert was broadcast live in Norway and South Africa, and slightly delayed in the US. It is also transmitted later in up to 100 countries worldwide.
