Saturday will be the day of the charity Life Ball, a fashion party event, which this year features special guests such as actress Whoopi Goldberg and former US president Bill Clinton, the Royal Palace writes in a press release.

Later on the same evening HRH Mette-Marit will attend a reception for 140 people at the Norwegian Embassy to greet the Norwegian delegates.

Last year, the Life Ball raised approximately 1.5 million euro that were used in programs that fight AIDS and help its victims, according to AFP.

About 25.000 experts are expected at the 18th AIDS conference between 18 and 23 July, and topics covered will be prevention and treatment of, as well as combating the HIV virus.
