The emergency proceedure took place after smoke filled the cabin. It has been confirmed that Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit were on the plane.

SAS information officer Monica Hovland told NRK, “An engine failure resulted in smoke in the cabin. It's too early to say what happened to the engine"

According to officials, the couple were in Copenhagen to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of Princess Mary and were to return to Oslo.

"We chose to evacuate passengers that were then taken care of by our personnel. Some found it dramatic, but people were never in any danger,” said Monica Hovland.

The Crown Prince apparently took the incident in good humour. The Crown Princess, according to other passengers, was a little bit stressed by the situation.
